This 2 for 1 offer includes "Australian Expats: Stories From Abroad" and "International Careers for Australians
Australian Expats is the first collection of stories from Australians who are working and living overseas, often for lengthy periods. The foreword to this collection is from Nikki Gemmell who herself has lived overseas for a number of years and now, like many Australians, resides in London.
Some 34 Australians contributed stories from Bolivia to Finland to Mozambique and together they provide a unique insight into what it means to come from Down-Under. This book was published in conjunction with the Southern Cross Group, a group representing Australian expats. The published stories were culled from some 180 stories written by 166 contributors.
International Careers is aimed at the 100,000 plus Australians who go to work overseas each year and is the first book of its type written specifically for Australians. Its divided into two sections: Finding the work and Making a successful move.
There is also an introductory chapter written by Professor Hugo describing Australias Diaspora along with a chapter that has some key questions as to whether living overseas is for you.
The Finding the work section details a range of options from those who have little experience to those who have plenty.
The Making a successful move covers all the practicalities from leaving home to setting up in a completely new location.
